The Blueberry is situated on the main A417, which passes through the village. It has a small bar area at the front, with a dining room to the right-hand side, opening out at the rear, with a garden beyond.
Abingdon Bridge & Good Old Boy are the regular beers here. They also had Doom Bar. A 4th handpull was unclipped. Pizzas appear to be the popular choice for diners. But there was also a specials board, which seemed to feature plenty of different types of sausage.
The landlord seemed a fairly jovial chap, whilst a group of 3 regulars in the window were certainly getting well oiled.

1930’s roadhouse pub reopened in 2014 after a chequered recent history. Decent job inside if a bit modish, green and off-white colour shades, nice furniture and comfy sofas. Selection of papers and magazines to peruse. A large feature wood-fired pizza oven has been installed and the pizzas looked tempting (it also operates a takeaway service). Child-friendly. Four ales on and all local too; West Berks GOB, 2x Loose Cannon and White Horse Village Idiot. No complaints about my Gunners Gold. AC/DC’s Highway to Hell at quite a loud volume seemed a bit incongruous given the surroundings. There’s a decent pub emerging here and I wouldn’t be averse to a revisit.
