Komakino . left this review about The Plough Inn
A quaint and attractive thatched-roof stone building betwixt Witney and Chippo, doing a roaring trade on an overcast September Sunday lunchtime. A long, thin rectangular room is served by a small bar which faced the entrance, with tables occupying the right side of the rectangle and opposite the bar and a separate dining area to the left and side of the bar. A nook accommodates two sofas in front of a tall fireplace to the front left of the bar, with a further thin room at the far left housing the entrances to the conveniences as well as a bar billiards table. A roaring trade was being done and a warm welcome was proffered and a four-ale line-up featured with luminaries such as Adnams Broadside, Thwaites Bomber, Marston's Melba (good) and Loose Cannon Bombshell (iffy). Prices were £1.85 a half which is about right for these parts. The only bugbear was the lack of room inside in which to partake in drinking. A raincloud or two would have made me feel in the way.
