Komakino . left this review about The Crown
The largest pub in the village and centrally-located, this has a room to the left on entry which operates as a sports bar with the room to the right a main bar area; this room being separated itself by a small step. A flagstone floor anteroom to the top left serves as a dining area. This was an ABC (Aylesbury Brewing Co) house for many a year (the nameboard out front has 'ABC' painted over) and is now under the clutches of Punch Taverns. This could explain the lacklustre ale selection which consisted of just GK IPA and Fuller's London Pride (with a third pump unclipped). Food is of the pub grub variety and is generously-portioned. There are some original touches including blocked off doors out front, suggesting this was multi-roomed in a previous incarnation and there are open fireplaces at either end of the main bar area as well as a medium-sized beer garden out back, but it's much changed from its origins and the ale choice does belie its size.
