This Hornton stoned building is a cosy two-roomed free house with a dark, old-fashioned interior which is all carpet, exposed stone and dark wood with more than a hint of 'front room'. There were four ales: Hobgoblin, Hobgoblin Gold, Jenning's Cumberland (off) and something called To Twits To Woo (presumably a house beer - unsure of the brewer) which came in at £3.50 for a pint's worth. The landlord was a convivial chap despite the up and down 80s background muzak and the car park shows that they are custodians of a pitch for that venerable old Oxfordshire game Aunt Sally.
