Set quite a way back from the main road, with a nice front garden. Two rooms inside, looks like the original building has a side extension as there's a random bow window in right hand bar. Left side is public, with darts and a stripped-down vibe. Right is the more upmarket lounge area, carpeted floor etc. All the punters were camped in here and a friendly lot they were too, engaging us in some witticisms and being quite welcoming of the strangers in their pub. Six ales on the go; Loose Cannon Abingdon Bridge (excellent nick), Doom Bar, Black Sheep, Shotover Prospect (very good), TT Landlord and Loose Cannon Bombshell (very good) plus a load of ciders. A number of old pump clips from good breweries attest to the guest range they have in here. Eggs for sale at the bar, 6 for £1.20. A great stop - really friendly, excellent ale. Go there. 8.5
