The Black Swan is a long and thin pub with seating at the front before the bar counter on the right wall that faces high tables against the left. A large chimney breast separates the bar area from a pool table and dartboard at the rear. Televisions are found throughout for showing live football, which was muted in favour of some background music. The service was polite, but only standard keg was available. I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.

Attractive street corner GK locals pub. Been knocked-through which results in a wonky layout but not displeasing. Pub carpet, white walls and grey wainscot, it didn’t feel too bad as a place to drink. No ale available so half a Guinness was my choice, which I only got after an ordering fiasco (“don’t worry, she’s a bit thick” said a local loudly enough for the hapless barmaid to overhear). There’s worse in Abingdon, I suppose.

As mentioned by Old Boots, Morland Original is the only real ale available. This is a good old fashioned drinking pub which does do food but not in the evenings. Shows all live football via foreign channels. It's a tad expensive here for the area (£3.50 for Fosters).

An old looking exterior but much modernised inside, it's a long thin pub with a long counter down the back wall. Apart from a few traces of an old pub it's a bog standard town pub with the usual screens, machines and pool table. The tiled fireplace is possibly original and quite nice but beige painted ceiling beams perhaps less so. I think there's a beer garden but I didn't check as I sampled yet more indifferent Morland's Original, the only beer on the three pulls.
