Strongers . left this review about Vine Inn
The entrance of the Vine Inn opens into a tile floored bar area with a wooden barstool lined L-shaped serving counter that supports standard and premium keg on the right-hand wall. To the front is a strip wood floored seating area with a DJ booth in the front right windows, so I imagine this turns into a dancefloor for the advertised DJ and karaoke on Friday and Saturday evenings. The rear of the pub goes back a long way. I didn’t venture down there, but I did spot a pool table and dartboard in the distance. Televisions are found throughout for the advertised live sports. The service was polite, but I did fell like an out-of-towner, and this was the only pub in Retford that I got that vibe in.

Old Boots left this review about The Vine Inn
Old looking building beside the church but fearsomely modernised inside, the upholstery looking a bit tired however. Accessed via a short corridor, presumably once an alley or entrance arch, leads to a roughly U shaped room with the counter over on the right, there's another room behind this. Board and modern tile floor, a fair bit of tongue & groove and the remnant of an old ceiling, a few arty prints as decor. Three T-Bars have the national low end kegs many being variants of Carling. The terrible trio, screens, machines and piped music, well in evidence. No card payments under £5.

The Vine Inn is a decent looking bare brick built pub that is in Retfords main shopping area.
Once inside the pub had two rooms with one at the front where we had a drink and the other to the rear.
When we went in this pub it was a Whitbread tied house and there were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of keg Whitbread Trophy bitter which was a very poor drink.
The pub looked very busy on my recent visit to Retford, i did'nt go in so i dont know what beers are now on here.
