Attractive, thatched pub on the main road through this quaint village. Sitting at one of the tables in the small courtyard garden at the front of the pub and looking over the cobbled street and stone cottages is very pleasant.
The pub itself is very pleasant and has three different bar areas, one of which looks like an old cottage kitchen with it's low ceilings, red tiled floor and cream dresser. The main bar is also quite cosy with a beamed ceiling and a chalk board menu hung up on the wall. I didn't see anyone eating though, I think perhaps they only do food on a lunch time. The landlord didn't seem to have much personality, but then it's the sort of pub where everybody knows everybody else, he may well be different with the locals.
Beers on offer were Woodforde's Wherry, Adnams Southwold and Everard's Sunchaser. Tribute was also chalked up on the guest ales board, but this appeared to be off. The only cider was Strongbow, unfortunately.
