The Man of Trent was a very large pub that was situated on the busy A453 through Clifton Estate.
This was a Shipstones tied house when i first did it wit ha very nice drink of Shipstones Bitter and Mild on the bar.
The pub had a very large basic and and a large comfortable lounge,there was also a function room.
I have been in this pub a few times over the years.
A great shame the crapdonalds have pulled it down and built and built one of their crap outlets on its site.

A McDonald’s and a Kentucky Fried Chicken are being built on the site of the former Man of Trent pub, which was bulldozed more than two years ago.
