Will Larter left this review about Coopers

A brick-built estate pub with conservatory-like add ons making it much bigger than originally planned. There's a patio garden at the front, and there are bench tables on the grass under the mature trees beside the A60, giving the place quite a pleasant aspect, though it was very quiet when I was there at Saturday lunchtime. There was one other customer outside in the patio area, who seemed happy enough with his Guinness, and I think about half a dozen people inside eating.

Inside there's a lengthy bar counter going round a shallow corner, with two pairs hand pumps on different sections of the bar. Just two beers: Banks's Sunbeam and Wychwood Hobgoblin. The sunbeam was absolutely dreadful, cloudy and slightly apple-y, like a combination of wheat beer and Appletise. I didn't see much point in asking for it to be changed, as I have little doubt the other beer would have been just as bad. At £1.90 for a half, this was easily the most expensive beer in Mansfield on the day. I'll not be going here again, that's for sure.
