We popped in here on a Friday evening and found the pub to be moderately busy with customers mainly calling in for a bite to eat. The interior was traditional in décor with cream painted walls and a dark brown colour painted lincrusta under the dado. The layout consisted of a large lounge area as you enter with a log burning stove over to the left and a tartan patterned carpet. The bar area was over to the right, which served the main room and the side room at the front. The staff were upbeat and welcoming and service was with a smile. Four handpumps with two in use, Deuchars and Theakston Shipwrecked, so we went for the latter, which was in good shape.
