Oh wow! couldn't have picked a better visit. Three Anarchy ales on handpump, so I immediately went for the Citra Star, which was in top class condition. I then went for the Anarchy Blonde Star, which was equally as good. They also had Anarchy Hard Times, which is a porter. The choice from their two remaining pumps was Wylam Gold and Wylam Collingwood. The pub was busy on our Friday eve visit and service was excellent. We managed to find a small unoccupied table around the far corner, next to a TV screen, which was displaying Wimbledon with the sound switched off.

Glad we made the walk over the bridge from the station and into the centre of the village as this pub had a very good range of Wylam ales and even better were the prices. I actually double checked the price with the barman as it seamed so cheap. A well decorated pub with a pool table in the rear drinking area.

Popular pub in the 2010 Good Beer Guide. Enjoyed the local Wylam Gold Tankard. There were about 3 screens showing different sporting events, and the locals were enjoying the sports. Lively atmosphere.
