Real Ale Ray left this review about Adam & Eve

The original part of this pub is closest to the road and dates from the late 1800's, further parts of the building were added in the early 1900's and the latest extension to the right hand side, incorporating an open beamed conservatory was added only six years ago. The main reason for the pub's expansion was initially from the age of the steam train, where a small station was built near to the pub. Business today has been boosted from the trend of using the train along the line, hence another Rail Trail.
The pub was busy on our Friday afternoon visit with walkers and ale trailers.
The interior of the pub is traditional and carpeted throughout, with lots of oak timber and exposed stonework. Three handpumps, with two in use on our visit, Bombardier and Wainwright.
