Will Larter left this review about Harbour Inn
Tourist pub with Toby jugs, fishing nets and gold framed mirrors. A smart back room is set up as a restaurant, and the front room has a couple of tables with cruet sets but plenty of small Britannia tables for drinks, in front of some banquette seating. Four hand pumps on the bar, which has brass rails for elbows and feet, and hooks for your jacket or bag. The bar back is very smart too, and there are flowers strategically placed. Beers were Ghost Ship and Wainwright, plus two badged as Amble Harbour Gold and Amber, which are actually brewed at Alnwick Brewery. My half of the Amber 3.8% took a lot of pouring, with the barman saying the first one was always tricky, and I noticed that a couple of pints of Gold for the next customers were also a bit awkward. I rated mine "acceptable" on the new CAMRA system, and the £5/pint price was similarly acceptable, I guess.
