The Rising Sun is situatated in the middle of Wellingborough.
The front door to this pub is closed, just ring the door bell and you are let in very quickly.
Once inside there is a very smart smallish and comfortable room to the right, there is comfy bench seating and normal tables and chairs, this area seemed quite cosy, there is a another area up a few steps to the rear, this is a long oblong shaped room with bench seating either side, there is a larger seperate room to the left which was set aside for a private party.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Harts Joshi's IPA which was a very well kept beer that went down well, the other beers were Pedigree and Hobgoblin.
There was some decent background music playing, cheap simple food is also available.
The pub was quite busy with older regulars on my Saturday dinner visit.
This is a very pleasant pub, dont be put off by pressing the door bell.
