The Spread Eagle is a nice looking pub.
Once inside there is a U shaped room with the bar facing, the room is bare boarded, the seating is tall bench seating and tall tables and chairs.
The pub is a Charles Wells tied house,so i was well pleased, there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Charles Wells Eagle Bitter which was a decent drink, the other beer was Bombardier.
There were TVs showing football score updates and the background music really good.
I quite liked this pub.

Strongers . left this review about The Spread Eagle
The Spread Eagle is a U-shaped pub with a pool table to the left and the bar in the middle with some seating to the right. One of the two hand pumps was off leaving only Bombardier, but a healthy standard draught selection was available during my visit along with Red Stripe and Eagle Smooth. I found the woman behind the bar to be very friendly and one of the local women took it upon herself to organise cabs for the large group I was in so we could get to the Saints ground. She even came outside and apportioned us to the four cabs that had arrived; I didn’t think we were that drunk yet! There are two plasma screens that were showing the football results via BBC so I guess that there is no Sky Sports.
There is a happy hour from midday until 18:00 Monday through to Friday and there is live music on Sundays from 17:00 until 20:00. There is also a disco every Friday from 20:00 until late, whenever that is.
Although this place isn’t going to win any awards I liked it and would pop back in if passing.
