Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Griffins Head

The Griffin's Head in Mears Ashby is a modern-looking pub with a bar and a smaller dining room. There is an outdoor patio to the rear with heaters and a pizza oven.

Plenty of smartly-dressed staff were available at the bar to serve us. Timothy Taylor Landlord was on cask, along with a couple of local beers from Digfield Barnwell Bitter & Chiffchaff. The fourth handpull was unclipped. I chose the Chiffchaff and was surprised to see the young barmaid top up my drink without me asking. Keg beers on included Hawkstone IPA & Beavertown Neck Oil. The cider was Aspall's.

Sunday lunches appeared to be fairly popular, but there were plenty of people just there for drinks. Walls featured several pictures of bulls for some reason. There was also an unlit wood burner. Whilst there was no apparent TV, music was playing and a wifi password is provided. Dogs are welcome and they also have their own menu on the bar.

I quite liked this pub and the beer was in good shape.
