Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Snooty Fox
The Snooty Fox appears to be more of a dining establishment than a pub these days. I was surprised to see it open during the middle of the afternoon on my weekday visit. I believe I was the only customer when I arrived, but it was difficult to tell, as the interior features a number of different alcoves separated by stone walls and fireplaces stretched along a lengthy space. On entering, it felt more like a hall of mirrors.
The bar area is off to the right if you enter from the front of the pub. Although, you're most likely to enter from the rear car park. So, turn left when you arrive.
A couple of staff were present. They were keeping themselves busy re-stocking shelves and fridges. But they offered a warm welcome. Two real ales were on from the local Digfield brewery and were double-clipped. These were Fool's Nook & Barnwell Bitter.
Food looked quite pricy, especially the lobster special. However, I don't recall keeling over with any kind of shock with the price of my beer.
The bar area has low beams, a flagstone floor and stone walls mounted on which were a few stuffed foxes. I expect the atmosphere is much livelier in the evenings when diners are present. But it was fairly soulless mid-afternoon.
