Very much a back street locals pub, the framed photo montages of regulars enjoying fancy dress events and so on, covering the walls make that instantly clear. A two room pub, a lounge and a public although there's not much to choose between them décor-wise, other than a carpet and solitary Greene King IPA handpump in the left hand “lounge” and a big screen in the public, a pool table lurks at the back of the “public”. The beer was as OK as GK IPA gets, the keg choice a very familiar Carling, Fosters, Guinness and Strongbow line up. It's a good local for the locals but it's not a destination for beer lovers but then that's Brackley to a tee.
