Will Larter left this review about The Red Bear
A Craft Union pub with a couple of hand pumps, with Wainwright Amber and Hobgoblin Gold, the latter being very cheap at £2.30 /pint, but there was something about it that didn't feel quite right. I wondered if this could be one of the Carlsberg fake cask beers, but I had not observed it being pulled as I was searching in my shoulder bag for my wallet. So I asked the friendly licensee and she confirmed that both beers are keg versions served through hand pumps. They are selling well, she told me.

Nice little pub. A few locals in during my early lunchtime visit. 2 beers on. I went for Bradfield Farmers Blonde which was fine.

Narrow long pub with the bar to the left and a front and rear room. Everybody but me was in the front room. Toilets right at the back. Two TVs in the rear room. Two weak real ales on sale.

Old Boots left this review about The Darrowby Inn
A dark and interesting interior, too much exposed brick but some really good carved woodwork, stained glass and even an old kitchen range in the back of the long single bar. Lots of victorian nic-nacs and ornamental brass objects. A pub with a great deal of potential is let down by some dire beer from Greene King, drinkable but not with much pleasure. The customers didn't seem all that pleased to be there either.
