A lovely little Sam Smith's pub with a comfortable carpetted room to one side, complete with a vintage open fire, and more of a public bar the other. Both are liberally smattered with old locals chatting gently and the overall feel is somewhere between the 1930s and 1950s. Just OBB on handpump of course but a good range of their keg and at fair prices even for Sam's (Mild £2.20).

A pub on a busy crossroads, with two bars, the room to the right has the pumps, to the left a bar full of locals by a pumpless counter. Usual traditional interior with bench seating and low tables and chairs. Good quality banter among the locals with how to light a fire and Mr Humphry being the main topics of conversation.

A very nice smaller Sam Smiths tied house just up the hill on the eastern side of the town. There are two main rooms, the bar on the right and the lounge to the left. No light or mild in this pub just the sole OBB bitter at £1.80 a pint and was one of the best pint of Sams cask beer I have tried. Just a couple of regular men on my visit sat in the bar but all were friendly enough. A very nice pub to enjoy a few beers in.

The Royal Oak is a brick built pub that is next to a T junction on the edge of the town centre.
Once inside here there are two rooms with a smallish cosy lounge and a larger bar, this pub is a Samuel Smiths tied house and there was the one real ale on here which was Old Brewery bitter this was a very nice drink that was very cheap.
I thought this was quite a nice pub to have a few drinks in.
