A sidestreet honeypot doing a roaring trade when I was here on a Saturday night. The six hand pumps had Tetleys twice, plus Landlord and Knowle Spring from Taylors and Blonde Witch and Pride of Pendle from Moorhouses. I went for the Landlord, which was ok but not as good as the Tetleys at the Royal Shepherd. As with that pub, I'd like to come back here at a less busy time to form a less overwhelming impression of its character.

A nice enough pub and judging by today a popular one. Its an open plan pub with a beer garden to the side. The are 6 cask ales available and today's choice was Tetleys Cask, Doom Bore, Dizzy Blonde, Abbot, Tim Taylor Landlord and Moorhouse Blonde Witch. A friendly pub.

Very food oriented in one open plan room. 5 pulls of varied guests and local favourites inc Doombar Robinsons and Tetleys. Beer quality was better than ok but lunchtime drinking wasn't good due to foody smells, family friendliness and a café atmosphere. Nice informative map based décor on one wall with basic old photos and adverts for food offers elsewhere. Big screen available. Probably better when drinking adults use it at night.

A decent looking pub, but doesn't offer much on the bar to draw you in if you're after any cask ales. So doesn't really draw many customers compared to the other pubs close by.

This is an oldish looking pub not far from the canal.
There was only one real ale on here which was Tetley bitter this was a decent enough drink.
