Modernised triangular corner pub, opposite Tescos, it has two rooms, the front or right hand one in the pointy end has a more bar like feel, the rear room is a restauranty dining area although food is served in both areas. The toilet is to the left of the dining area and although well signposted I thought I’d stumbled into the kitchen. Modern decor, bare wide boards, art work of various sorts and a framed stained glass window that appears to have once graced the pub’s door. Three pulls with Dark Horse Hetton Pale, Wainwright and Ossett Blonde, two T-Bars of national favourites. My Dark Horse was fairly decent.

Under new ownership 2018, refurbished with bar area, dining room and en-suite bedrooms. Great food reasonable prices, closes at 10. Need to book at busy times.

A good traditional pub and well worth a visit. A two roomed pub, the front bar with it's seated bay window was very comfortable the back lounge was also quiet and chilled out and easy ordering from the end of the bar. The Tetley Mild and Tetley Bitter were both spot on.

This is a nice looking two roomed pub that is narrower at the front because of the corner its on.
There were two real ales on here i had a drink of Tetley Mild this was very nice the other beer was Tetley bitter.
This is quite a nice locals pub.
