Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Windmill

This place is now more of a restaurant than a pub. Drinking is only really possible in the summer when outdoor seating supplements the indoor space which is almost exclusively for diners. Otherwise, there is just a single table at a sofa opposite the bar available for drinkers. When the establishment is full, even this table can be taken for diners.

Arriving late on a Saturday evening, I was lucky. The drinkers' table was free. It took a while for somebody to come along to serve me, as there were just the odd few diners remaining, most of whom were heading to the bar to settle their bills. Indeed when service did arrive, the assumption was that I was just there to pay.

There are still a couple of cask ales. Being a Greene King establishment, these were Greene King IPA & Hardy & Hanson's Olde Trip. The cider was Aspall's.

This place looks like it might be worth visiting for food but for drinkers, it has very little to offer.
