Peter Forster left this review about Forest & Vale Hotel
A typical hotel bar. Long, carpeted and tidy with plenty of comfortable chairs and a scattering of tables. It was a peaceful place despite being next to a busy roundabout, being the junction of the main roads to Scarborough and Malton. The only hand pump was Black Sheep bitter (£4.90 a pint). The other 6 taps are the usual Euro Fizz, no craft beers. Food was a small selection of sandwiches. I was driving and £3.40 for a can of Diet Coke seemed a bit much but this wasn’t a terrible place to spend a half an hour watching the world go by. Not really a beer venue unless on a completist pub crawl of the town.

Hotel located on the roundabout at the main junction of the Malton and Scarborough roads. A hotel bar that we decided to give a swerve as it didn't really look like a non-residents type of place.
