Largish place that has seen better days. Pool table to left. Three real ales, one on only. Rest keg.

You will have seen this type of pub dozens of times in small towns up and down England, every where seems to have at least one like this, in some ways a sub-spoons. A large corner location with stone floors, a new U shaped wooden counter in an open plan room with raised areas here and there, décor in a faux more or less Victorian style. The popular drinks are cold uninspiring mass market kegs and premixes served by staff of varying levels of politeness, the ale choice is a cold and fairly unpleasant example from a large regional, national or international brewer, in this case Banks's bitter. There are a couple of darts boards, one in the midst of dining tables the other tucked away where the furniture means it can't be used easily without the services of messers Pickfords, the pool table is quite accessible though. An average pub of the identikit Pubs-R-Uz school
