In a small village but not quite with the atmosphere of a village pub, it is furnished with separate seating at square tables as this is an eating house but it's in no way pretentious. The front bar has three pulls with beers from Pennine, Black Sheep and Taylors, the ubiquitous Black Sheep bitter and Landlord being on offer, so they play it safe here. There's a darts room and restaurant behind the bar. Decor is predictably grey tongue & groove with plain white walls above without an object or picture to enliven it, the floor is a mix of flag and carpet. My Pennine was a bit flat and a touch stale, the food was rather good though. It may have a different owner to the chap reviewing in 2009.
