Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Three Horseshoes
Village pub opposite the parish church. The entrance door has a short corridor with doors leading off it into two interconnecting rooms. All of the locals were in the far room. We entered in the near door and into the smaller room of the two, but proceeded through to the main room, where there was a TV and a pool table. Locals were sat around two tables and we listened in to a few conversations, one of which involved a man walking into a doctor's surgery in a dressing gown with a cigar and a glass of brandy in hand. Possibly a tall story, but entertaining nonetheless.
Two handpulls on the bar dispense Sharp's Doom Bar and a guest beer, which was Grainstore Red Kite on this visit. A couple of cakes on the end of the bar tempted us. We ended up with a rather large slice of red velvet cake to share. It didn't really act as a good accompaniment to the Red Kite, but was still very tasty.
A decent community-owned local.
