Long thin bar with a larger restaurant area to the rear. All very smart, with high stools and sofas all around in the bar area. This is not a place for young wannabees, it's a place for older "think they already are" types. Most of them appear to be wrong. I had a pint of Moretti at nearly £4 which tasted of nothing at all, which means it was well kept as Moretti never tastes of anything. The other half had a glass of red wine which she thought was very nice though. It's definitely not going to be one of our regular haunts though.

Part of a chain of similar places, the emphasis is most definitely on the Restaurant part of the name, there is even a Maitre D' type at a front reception desk. There is a bar with stools and some comfortable sofa seating at the front but it's a restaurant with beer that tolerates casual drinkers. The service is unremittingly restaurant in style, impeccable but impersonal. There are six keg founts of a tall non-proprietary stainless steel type, dispensing Moretti, Stella, Guinness and Boddingtons, lots of wines of course and spirits plus any number of cocktails, details are given in the drinks menu. Most of the walls are window or mirrored to make the long thin room look bigger.
