Graham Coombs left this review about The White Horse

A village local with a largely unspoilt mid-century feel in the main part, especially in a side area labelled "tea room". There is plenty of medium wood panelling In evidence and a bit of brickwork. To the back, a restaurant extension has been added, with a covered tabled gallery and garden area outside and also a rather smart bowling green. I wondered at the number of twerlies eating until I discovered they do regular "community lunches" at a bargain price - clearly much appreciated. Ales on were Wherry and TT Landlord, with Black Sheep Bitter and Ghost Ship clip-reversed. Various entertainments were listed - all in all quite a nice pub.

Blue Scrumpy left this review about The White Horse

On a Thursday lunchtime, there was only one other drinker sat at the bar here. Everybody else was there for lunch of which the pub seemed to be doing a fairly brisk trade. The Indian barman seemed fairly friendly, but the lady who I took to be the landlady seemed to look on me (as a non-local drinker) with a little suspicion.

There are various seating areas with a couple of unlit fireplaces, a couple of TVs and buntings of each of the Six Nations rugby participants. There are a few local pictures on the walls. Background music was playing and the Cloud wifi is available. Comedy nights and monthly karaoke were also advertised. To the rear is a partly covered outdoor area with a large sofa in one part. Beyond that is a garden and a bowling green.

Timothy Taylor Landlord is the regular cask ale. Black Sheep Best Bitter was also on with a promotion to buy a pint and get a half free. Adnams Ghost Ship & Woodforde's Wherry clips were turned round, whilst the only cider offering was Aspall's. After the excellent Angel a little further along the road, the White Horse was somewhat of a disappointment.
