Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Shoulder Of Mutton
Village pub which serves food, but unlike many pubs in this area, it appears to be the beers (and ciders) that attract most customers. The pub has a traditional feel with bare boards and some large pub signs, including one for the Ironmongers Arms. I'm not quite sure of the relevance of this.
A fireplace with a wood burner separates two sections of the pub, whilst there is a further section off to the right-hand side of the bar. There is a dartboard and a couple of fruit machines. There are also some board games on the left-hand side of the bar. A TV was showing horse racing and with pictures of horses on the walls, there seems to be a definite horse theme.
Quiz nights and live music events are promoted. Children are allowed in certain areas of the pub, whilst dogs are also allowed in, if kept on a lead. A wifi password was available.
On the beer front, Adnams Ghost Ship & Moon Gazer Hare Today are the regular beers. Guests were Fuller's London Pride, Grain Best Bitter, Barsham Old Acle & Mr Winter's GSB. Ciders from Burnard's could also be found in a fridge on the left-hand side of the bar. Both Oaky Dokey & Monty's Double were available from boxes. Keg beers included Sharp's Doom Bar & SALT Alpacalypse. Cask ales up next were listed behind the bar along with their pumpclips.
A proper drinkers' pub this. I was suitably impressed.
