The Chairman left this review about The Reedcutter

Popped in for a visit between trains but concluded that staying on the train might have been a better idea. The beer I sampled was OK, but although the pub was fairly busy it didn't feel overly welcoming or relaxing, and was fairly scruffy. I couldn't help feeling that in spite of the riverside location with a regular potential passing trade of boaters, the target clientele might have regarded the water as just a coincidence. Overall, I feel this was a pub that was doing quite well, but could do so much better.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Reedcutter

Pleasant riverside pub in a strange setting - look ahead at the tranquil waters of the Yare, but you cannot avoid turning to one side as it is in the shadow of British Sugar's massive sugar beet factory. Refurbished at some stage with generally light furniture and decor. Pool table a back of the 'L'-shaped bar. Small provision store for boaters in another main room. Picnic tables and a small smokers' gazebo out front. One handpump plus two gravity taps, with Cliff Quay Bitter (£2.80) and Cottage Golden Arrow (£3.20) on when I called by.
