An example of a successful community-owned pub, purchased in 2006 and thriving. Don't expect a rustic village local though, it has been thoroughly modernised with an interior that would not look out of place in a city bar. All very tastefully done in a bright colour scheme, with smart highlights of dark blue/grey, light wood tables and an arty stepped floor. A pool table stands on the higher level, while there is a flash restaurant area to one side and terraced patios outside. Ales on were Woodfordes Reedcutter, Redwell Extra Pale, Lacons Encore and Rudgate South Pacific. Food very good and weekly entertainments held.
