The bar here won't be to everybody's taste, but on a sunny day the riverside seating is a lovely place to enjoy a beer and a bit of lunch. Bar service can be a bit hit and miss but they have four handpumps offering decent quality local ales - on my visit they were two from Lacons, one from Humpty Dumpty, with the fourth being Wherry of course. The opening hours are a little unclear, but it offers breakfast, lunch and dinner to both residents and visitors!

Back in Wroxham for our annual holiday I visited the Hotel Wroxham a few times. I was pleased to see that Doom Bar was available, (albeit at £3.20,) but it did not taste like I remember Doom Bar and I did not enjoy it. When I returned later it was off. Woodforde’s Wherry, Adnams Broadside and Fox Brewery Bitter were available. I chose the Broadside which is nice but a bit heavy for a session. I returned with my wife later in the evening and switched to Carlsberg. WiFi is now available, but I could not get it to work and the barman told me it was not reliable. After that I just visited the Kings Head. It is still a nice place to be as you overlook the river, and I hope the beer selection has changed when we return next year.

We visit Wroxham each year, and I use the Hotel wroxham almost every day we are here. The entrance area has been repainted on the outside, and the toilets have been refurbished. Four real ales were available, Courage Best, (at £2.75,) Charles Wells Eagle IPA, Adnams Broadside and Wolf Brewery Golden Jackal. At the end of the week, the Courage Best was replaced by Adnams Bitter. It is still nice to sit next to the window or outside, and watch the boats. A useful place to have opposite to where we stay, and I shall be back next year.

Still nice to visit which we did on several occasions while we were on our annual holiday in Wroxham. Charles Wells IPA and Courage Best on hand pump at £2.70. Wolf Brewery Golden Jackal and Adnams Broadside also available. Most enjoyable to sit in the outside patio area and watch the boats.

This review is about the bar of the Hotel Wroxham. The main bar seating area is like a conservatory which merges into the restaurant area, but you can sit and drink in the first part. Outside there is a narrow waterside patio area. A nice selection of real ales, including Courage Best at a very reasonable price.
