A thatched seventeenth century pub facing the square in a picturesque village close to the River Great Ouse.A couple of traditionally arranged bars and drinking areas: panelling and beams. An un occupied dining room on our early afternoon Saturday visit, most folk enjoying Jazz and Gin in the popular garden to the rear.
Three handpumps dispensing Doom Bar,Landlord and the reliable Oakham Citra, together with various lagers. A squeaky handpull boded ill, but my Citra was in tiptop condition. Our meals weren't over priced for the area, and the staff friendly.Well worth a visit.
