The Avenue was another new pub I tried on a recent visit to Great Yarmouth. It lies in a residential area to the north of the town, near to the horse racing track and the greyhound stadium. We were visiting on a Monday evening after the greyhound meet and despite it being after 9:30pm, my 8-year-old son was allowed in by the friendly barmaid.
The solitary clipped ale was Ghost Ship, but on ordering this, I was told it was not on. They had Old Speckled Hen instead, which was in good condition.
Rather out on a limb, but a solid locals' pub nevertheless.

Nice clean pub good beer no atmosphere whatsoever...wont be going back !!

This is a 'proper pub' good selection of beers. I visited on a race day and the pub was very busy after the races with diners.
