'Hungry Horse' benefitting from recent refurbishment but still primarily for family eating. Does at least now have some real ales available.

A large family dining pub branded as a 'Hungry Horse'. To the right on entry is an area for drinkers with low tables, chairs, darts etc, but the largest part of the pub is dedicated to dining. To the left of the main entrance are many tables extending into a conservatory extension at the front and an outside area. Massive menu of pub favorites at cheap prices but the overall impression is 'pile it high and sell it cheap'. The tables are too crowded together and claustrophobic at busy times. Food is OK but unexceptional. No real ale despite being a Greene King pub, just drab national brand beers.
