Arriving at the White Horse for Sunday evening re-opening which was supposed to be at 6pm, we initially thought that it was closed. Doors were open at the rear of the building, but there were no other cars on the car park.

However, we tried the front door and found it open. Just the landlord and one customer sat at the bar were in. The landlord was bemoaning the hot weather and seemed to be struggling in the heat.

Abbot & Volt were the two real ales. We later noticed a sign for Lilley's Mango Cider. The pub was listed in the Good Beer Guide as recently as 2022. But the real ale selection was a little disappointing and I suspect the focus here is more on food. There are separate dining rooms and a conservatory at the rear. The pub was possibly quiet as they weren't serving food on our Sunday evening visit.
