The Six Bells has been split into two, the left-hand side being a Greek restaurant and the carpeted right being maintained as a pub with a central L-shaped serving counter that supports Fosters, Birra Moretti, Amstel, Inch’s cider and Guinness on draught. A banquette with tables and chairs under the front windows faces some high tables with small round copper tops that are in turn faced by the counter. In the right rear are two pool tables and televisions throughout were airing different muted sports channels while some background music played to the empty pub on a recent Monday afternoon. Out the back is an enclosed decked area with a mix of picnic tables and garden furniture, it’s actually a nice spot out here on a sunny afternoon. The tables along the front window were being used by, I think, the owner to do some accounts, so I sat at one of the high tables that wasn’t the most comfortable. The barman was very polite, but I can’t see myself returning.
