Graham Coombs left this review about The Anchor
A locals' village pub, close to one of the main flightpaths out of Heathrow. The interior has been knocked through into one room, with the bar to the left and a dining area off to the right. Décor is slightly modernised in a slightly tacky sort of way. To the rear is a conservatory, which houses a pool table, and a garden, ideal for enjoying the planes thundering past. There are however various events (music. karaoke, disco etc.) and it is still a focus for the community. A Greene King pub, the two draught ales at time of visit were Speckled Hen and Abbot:the former was off but the latter was in good condition.
