Malden man left this review about Grand Junction Arms
One long narrow carpeted room which returns back a little at the end. The bar runs along the back wall, and has a collection of old film/cine cameras on a shelf above. Traditional style seating with banquettes and chairs at tables seating four, plus a few bar stools. There is further seating outside at the front and also in a shaded side garden overlooking the adjacent canal. Decor involves a few framed prints including one of The Angel of the North, walls are part panelled and there is some exposed brickwork. There are a number of screens, the early Saturday match was being shown with the sound on, two pool tables and a bar football table.
The blackboard outside advised that the pub was under new management and the welcome from the barman and the pub dog was friendly enough. There is food available although I didn't check out the menu, and a quiz night is advertised on Mondays.
Two handpumps serving Shepherd Neame Spitfire and GK Abbot Ale. The Spitfire was fine (£2.90).
I reckon this pub is a bit of an oasis in Southall as real ale does not seem to be prevalent in the area.
