The strokey-beard Camra bores have added it to the 2026 Good Beer Guide.
Looks a traditional pub, but converted from a cafe in 1980. Seems smaller inside than out, mainly due to the very low ceilings and multiple rooms surrounding a central bar.
Very busy - mainly with drinkers, but the do informal food as well. Almost all tables, standing areas taken on a Tuesday night. Can't be bad.
Had half a dozen cask ales on - including Bass, which the Landlord is gauging reaction to.

Nice but small country pub. Though it does sell eurofizz lagers you're not going to get any throw-it-down throw-it-up scallies in here. You are, however, likely to get irate dog owners giving you dark looks cos youve just stood on their dog thats hiding under tables/lying in the way. Has 5 or 6 real ales for strokey-beard Camra bores.
