Oh dear. Now that the local Legh Arms seems to have gone this place has also let itself go. What was a reasonably good pub is now a totally bland place. The giveaway is the 'Tapas Bar' that greets you before you enter and the limited opening hours. If you must go then its a 2 roomed place with the bar to your right on entering and a room to your left. The bar has 2 handpumps on but only Wainwright on. A bit of a pointless place to be honest.

Much better than the Legh Arms nearby. Real ale is available and the interior is quite pleasant.

The pub is now under new ownership and serving fantastic tapas and steak on the stone (if eating at the weekend booking is recommended), with a great selection of wines and cask marque approved quality cask beers! live music on a sunday and lots of fun events including hog roasts and race days! to book tables or for any enquiries call 01925 569306

If you’ve always wondered what a Channel of Damascus, a Stool of Destiny or a Column of Doom was then look no further. They’re certainly not something out of the new Harry Potter book or from Tomb Raider.
The Millstone (Newton le Willows’finest dispensary of refreshing beverages), however, has much more than just mythical objects. There’s also a fully landscaped garden of beer, a gravity defying deck and a pool (table).
There is not a person on the planet that could say they did not enjoy the Millstone experience. The quizes, the bingo, the mint imperial challenge, there’s just far too much entertainment to list. Far better just going and sampling the delights of this adventure playground of fun and enjoyment yourself.

If you want quality entertainment from TV's own Ian Whammond and host of other celebrities then you've come to the right place!
The Millstone, on the edge of Newton le Willows, offers quality beers, wines & spirits (and ghosts) all at competitve prices! With a quiz night on a Thursday and music on Saturday it's fun all the way to your hangover.
A personal favourite is Sunday when there's a music quiz and open the box with a chance to win big cash prizes, if you're passing it's worth calling in just for the world remowned, not to mention deafening, key countdown - certainly worth the 296 mile round trip from Durham! If they ask how you heard about it tell them Degs sent ya!
