Two room Holt's pub with high ceilings. I chose the room to the left on entry. It is carpeted, apart from some laminate flooring near to the bar. I spotted 4 TVs, 3 showing a quiz programme and a fourth one playing Smooth Radio. Flowers hanging from one wall made it quite a pleasant drinking environment. There were also some stained glass windows both at the front and rear. The second room had a quiz machine and I also spotted a black and white rugby shirt on the wall (presumably Swinton). Various live entertainment was advertised.
At the bar, the cask ale was once again Holt's Bitter. The keg selection was better than some of the other Holt's pubs I'd been in and included Holt's Smooth, Black & Northern Hop & Bootleg American Pale.
Incidentally, looking at the review below, there may well have been other rooms. I assumed there were just the two, but I also failed to have a wander around.

A good looking pub in orange brick with bay windows and twin gables at the front, but the effect slightly spoilt by the addition of a front "garden" (a Covid addition, I would guess). This is another heritage pub interior, but unlike its neighbour, the Park Inn, it is still listed as such, though to me it looked like to have quite a few modern features. Maybe having glass doors like the Hilton hotel doesn't count against, but I also thought the bar counter looked new. Apparently the former billiards room is the most impressive part, but I missed its "panelled walls, bell-pushes, curved counter, stained glass, and impressive mahogany fire-surround", so I should have gone for a wonder. I think I was a little distracted by all the Holts posters in frames, with their food offers and function room hire, and TVs and video screens everywhere; plus the beer wasn't as good as at the Park - Holts Bitter again, but NBSS 3 only. This just wasn't such a warm, friendly pub as the first one, and that's more important than original features, however beautiful and well-preserved.

Much better inside than you would perhaps think from the external aspects.
Multiple rooms and very clean. A classic pubby feel, with TVs on but not intrusively and several groups of regulars. Holts beer in perfect condition. Friendly staff.

The White Swan is a Holts run pub with a multiple room layout, much like other pubs in Manchester. The usual Holts keg is available from the bar that also supports four hand pumps that were all badged with Holts Bitter. Televisions were airing football and horse racing. Live music and a disco is advertised for Saturday nights. Out the front are some picnic tables on AstroTurf. I found this pub to be friendly and I would return.

The White Swan is a large old stand alone pub and one of three pubs on this stretch of worsley road.
Once inside the pub had a few different rooms i had a drink in the bar which was quite a nice room, this pub is a Joseph Holt tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Holts bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Holts mild.
