The Princess was a very large pub that was on the corner of princess road and mauldeth road west,the pub fronted onto princess road.
Once inside the pub had a few different rooms and i had a drink in a largish room that was carpeted and quite smart,the pub was a Whitbread tied house and there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Boddingtons bitter which was a fairly decent drink the other beer was Whitbread Trophey bitter.
This was not really a drinkers pub but as a drinker i was made just as welcome.
It is a shame that this pub has now been pulled down as there are not that many other pubs nearby.
