This is a massive Lees, food led, roadhouse. Lots of pictures of famous local people around the walls e.g. Bernard Manning. It's all very nicely done and has no doubt cost a fortune. There's a nice tiled bar and surrounds, but apart from that it's a bit sterile. Whilst I was there a woman came up to the bar and asked for a small glass of their cheapest red wine. When it had been poured she complained that she hadn't been asked to taste it first! Full of the fur coat, but no knickers brigade.

The Parrs Wood is a large 30s built pub that is on the corner of parrs wood road and school lane.
Once inside this pub had a few different rooms and i had a drink in the bar which was quite a nice room and also fairly comfortable, this pub was a Boddingtons tied house when i visited it and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Boddingtons bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was Boddingtons mild.
This was quite a nice pub and it was the only one in this area of burnage.
