This is a lovely looking pub. It looks like a small country cottage pub from the outside, but it's like a tardis inside. There's a very large room to the right as you enter which has a DJ rig and lighting along with a dancefloor. To the left are several smaller rooms on different levels, this is a very nice part of the pub. There's also a beer garden and a car park to the rear. The landlady also runs the nearby Bricklayers, but is doing a relief managers job here for Marston's to keep the doors open until it is sold. It's currently up for sale for £195,000 plus VAT. It's a Grade II listed building, so hopefully that will protect it, but it may not be a pub for much longer. 4 handpumps on the bar with 2 badged with Hobgoblin and the other 2 off, it was a decent pint as well. I'd love to see it stay as a pub, but I think they need to lose the dancefloor and go for the dining option if it's going to be viable.
