Letters Inn has a bar counter on the left wall that is bookended by a couple of tables at the rear and another couple in the front window. Two gaming machines butt up against a central supporting column and in the rear corner are a pool table and dartboard. Another board is found in a seating area to the left of the entrance and to the right is a large TV that was off whilst matches played on both Sky and BT Sport, so no live sport. However, there was some background music playing off the jukebox. The thick wooden beams that run across the ceiling look like they've been covered in chocolate fondant. The bar supports standard keg and one of the two hand pumps was in operation drawing Bank Top Brewery’s Flat Cap. The service was friendly, but I don’t see myself returning.

A fairly innocuous looking pub. The inside is decent enough and is open plan. Wood panelling and red seats and carpet is the decored theme. Wooden beams along the ceiling. A pool table is just to the left opposite the bar. There are 2 handpumps on the bar with one reversed and the other dispensing Deeply Vale Deeply Blonde today. Friendly locals.

I have to admit I wasn't expecting much from this pub, but it's quite a bit better than I thought. It's simply a small, friendly, keg only, locals pub. There's a nice area to the left as you enter with a good looking fireplace and a well used dartboard judging by the wear on the 20. There's also a pool table in the main area. Cheery service and a smile from the barmaid as I ordered a half of Carling which was £1.20. I doubt that I'll ever call back though as there's nothing here for me as a real ale drinker.
