Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Tivoli
Art Deco former 'spoons, closed after a disastrous fire in 2015, but reopened under new ownership in 2022 after lengthy (and no doubt expensive) repairs. Reconfigured into different uses on four levels, ranging from the main ground-floor bar and cellar club to the first-floor Electric Green mini-golf courses to another (part time) bar for the rooftop terrace. This is quite dark inside, apart from the picture windows overlooking the river at the back, with something of a BrewDog look under a relatively low ceiling and industrial ventilation. No cask ales these days unfortunately, with Meantime's 'brewery fresh' tank beer being the most prominent offering. However, I went for the 'house' Pale Ale of uncertain origin (£3.20, half) featured on the three hooped keg founts.

The Tivoli is being redeveloped by the City Pub Group and it is scheduled to reopen in the spring.

Reported to be not opening again as a JDW.
Visit Dec 2014
Although this is clearly a converted cinema before Wetherspoons took it over in 2010 it had also been an electrical warehouse and a Firkin pub.
Inside it is quite long narrow and dark which seemed odd for such a large building. I had failed to notice that there is also an upstairs area with another bar.
The downstairs bar had two banks of five hand pumps with GK Ruddles & Abbot, Moorhouse's Ice Witch, Rudgate Rudolph's Ruin, Caledonian Minagof IPA, Doom Bore, Arundel Old Scrooge, Marston's Cinder's Doppelganger, Mordue Headmaster's Christmas Sermon and Caledonian Knee Deep. I went for the Ice Witch (£1.99) and it was in really good nick. Needless to say, this was the cheapest pint during my day in Cambridge.
Despite the rather gloomy interior I would return to this one rather than the Regal in the centre of Cambridge.

Huge, huge, huge place based in an old cinema with far too much furniture. Deathly quiet, there's normally 5 people spread amongst the 500 tables. Its right by the river but you wouldn't know. Go somewhere else instead.
