Bare board flooring runs from the front central entrance of the Friendship Tavern to a flight of stairs at the rear, not sure where they lead up to as the toilets are downstairs. Tiling runs around the floor of the bar counter on the right-hand wall and in the front right window is a pool table. The carpeted left-hand side of the pub is full of open plan seating, and on the rear wall is a dartboard. A projector screen for airing the advertised Sky Sports hangs on the left-hand wall above a DJ booth that is in action every Friday evening. The only distraction during my recent Tuesday evening visit was some low background music and a handful of locals who were sat around the bar. The service was friendly, but only standard keg and Madri were available on draught. This isn’t a pub anyone would travel far to visit.

A basic and pretty dire pub. 3 areas to sit in and all as bland as each other. Its all served by a central bar with no real ale. A classic example of a locals pub as unless you live by it you're not going to seek it out as a rule.

There was a funeral wake in the pub on my visit, so it was difficult to assess what it was normally like. There's a big DJ rig in the main room with a pool table, which was covered on my visit and a jukebox. There are two other rooms and a meeting room upstairs that I didn't visit. Sadly there's no real ale here now, although there used to be when it was owned my Marston's. I had a half of Carling for £1.50 and it was even worse than normal with an off taste. How do you manage that from a keg. Clean the lines you lazy sods!

The Friendship Tavern is a basic corner pub that is on the busy hyde road.
Once inside there were two rooms there was a smartish lounge which was empty and a more basic bar i had a drink in the bar, this pub was a marstons tied house when i visited it and there was one real ale on the bar this was Marstons bitter which was drinkable but nothing special.
